James Grundy is a urban street photographer who captured most of his images in New York City. He looks at The different cultures and sub-cultures, and captures each of these. He looks at The portrayal of people with different occupations, the different looks and styles, different backgrounds and nationalities. One of his projects that I'm interested in is Urban Race, this is a testament to life in the city. The qualities and characteristics of that life including the personalities and characters. How each of these changes and flows from one neighbourhood to the next, all the way from the southern most tip of Manhattan to the northernmost tip of North Harlem. He took these photographs and changed his ideas and created a book to show the different lifestyles in different cities. Most of the time he shoots his images in black and white and has the odd colour photo in the project. When taking my photos I would shoot in black and white and then use the a range of techniques to give the image more detail.
